The Human Rights Office of the Archbishop of Guatemala (ODHAG) denounces that during the early morning hours of February 14, the offices of Culture and Peace, the programs of historical memory, childhood, conflict transformation and community organization were broken into by unknown persons. They report the theft of laptop computers and other equipment.

STATEMENT
Companions, sister organizations and partners:
In response to questions about our security and expressions of solidarity, the Human Rights Office of the Archbishop of Guatemala informs that during the course of last night and early this morning, February 14th of this year, a section of our offices located on 7th Avenue and 5th Street, in Zone 1 of Guatemala City, was broken into by unknown persons. The offices of the culture of peace area and the programs of historical memory, children, conflict transformation and community organization are located there.
So far we can only report the theft of laptop computers and other equipment and we do not have any hypothesis about the perpetrator or motive. The authorities and national and international accompaniment organizations have been informed.
We will follow the established security protocols and will accompany the investigations to determine the motive and identify those responsible.
