⚖️ On December 10, International Human Rights Day, the opening hearing in the genocide trial against former General Luis Enrique Mendoza García was suspended for the second time. In response, survivors and human rights organizations gathered outside the courthouse, where the Association for Justice and Reconciliation (AJR) read a powerful statement condemning the renewed suspension and demanding justice for the Ixil people.

El año cambia en el calendario gregoriano, pero el tiempo —como la memoria y la resistencia— sigue su propio pulso. ⚖️ El 10 de diciembre, Día Internacional de los Derechos Humanos, se suspendió por segunda vez la audiencia de apertura del juicio por genocidio contra el exgeneral Luis Enrique Mendoza García. Como respuesta, sobrevivientes y organizaciones de derechos humanos se concentraron frente a los tribunales, donde la Asociación para la Justicia y Reconciliación (AJR) leyó un contundente pronunciamiento en repudio a la nueva cancelación del juicio y en exigencia de justicia para el pueblo Ixil.
