NISGUA SEEKS AN ACCOMPANIMENT AND VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR
We are looking for a Guatemala City-based Accompaniment and Volunteer Coordinator —this person will ensure our decades long commitment to internationalist solidarity with front-line struggles in Guatemala remains strong and relevant in the times we are in.
Primary responsibilities include: recruitment, training, placement, and supervision of internacionalista accompaniers and volunteers, in Guatemala and in the U.S.; trans-territorial organizing through delegations, speaking tours, etc; and adminstrative duties of the Guatemalan office. Every NISGUA staff member is expected to work collaboratively, practice horizontal supervision, and promote liberatory values organization-wide.
Ideal candidate:
Bilingual (English/Spanish); experience in international accompaniment and/or organizing; management of collaborative teams; a critical understanding of U.S.–Guatemala relations; willingness to respond to emergencies or unexpected tasks as needed.
