Solidarity activists are joining with
Guatemalan communities in demanding that Canadian mining company Goldcorp Inc.
respect their decision to reject mining activity on their territories. This May
22, Goldcorp Inc. held its Annual General Meeting in
NISGUA sponsored two Guatemalan representatives-Aniseto Lopez from the communities in San Miguel Ixtahuacan directly affected by the Marlin Mine and Arturo Mendez representing the Peoples' Council of the West-to attend the meeting and communicate with shareholders and beneficiaries of Goldcorp Inc.
