Action Alerts
In Guatemala, the impunity rate for past and current crimes soars. 99% of the crimes committed during the war have not been brought to justice. Of over 45,000 forced disappearances only one case has gone to trial and witnesses in the genocide cases have waited over eight years for a trial. The impunity rates for current human rights violations are equally high. In spite of the dramatic rise in attacks in the past 5 years, only 3 cases have been resolved. Ask President Álvaro Colom to Advocate for the Victims’ Right to Justice. Read and submit the action below, or you can write your own message.
